Hero Reporting

Reporting

Schools report to whānau for two key reasons. Firstly, schools report to whānau because whānau are key stakeholders in education. As such whānau expect meaningful information about their child’s progress and achievement in relation to learning entitlements set out in the New Zealand Curriculum

Secondly, schools report to whānau because whānau, families, and the wider community have a valuable role to play in supporting their children’s learning at and beyond school. We report to whānau each year via Hero and then throughout the year using narrative assessment; Learning Stories, Learning Snapshot and via our Student Led Conferences.
